Before you decide

The format is part of the decision

Choosing a counsellor is not only about the subjects you might discuss. It also matters whether you feel comfortable meeting online, whether you have privacy and whether you want to work with a named individual practitioner.

When online may feel workable

You have a private place where you can speak without interruption, a suitable device and a reliable internet connection. You are comfortable meeting remotely rather than travelling to a therapy room.

When location may matter more

If meeting a counsellor in the same room in Liverpool is important to you, take that into account. This page describes online work with me from my Stockport-based practice.

What the first call is for

The free initial telephone consultation gives us approximately 15 minutes to discuss your enquiry, practical questions and whether working together may feel right.

A place to start

A relationship, not a fixed formula.

I work in a humanistic, integrative way, with warmth, empathy and respect for your experience. I draw on Person-Centred counselling, Transactional Analysis and CBT where they fit your needs. The relationship we build is central to the work.
